GifCam is a fun, easy-to-use application that allows you to create and edit custom GIFs right from your desktop.
With this curious program you can make your recordings from a sort of virtual camera that you can position on top of anything, and resize to capture exactly the part of the image or video that you want.

You can create animated drawings, tutorials, moving avatars, or even new memes. You can record continually or frame by frame and later delete whatever you don't want.
GifCam also lets you record fullscreen, include your mouse cursor, and choose to record in groups of 10-16 frames per second.

Windows 10. Can't see how Edit works. RIght click shows nothing. I Need instructions!! Without Edit it's not useful. :( Rated 5 starts in the hope that it's useful, one day........
